Description Olli Tuominen 2015-11-30 12:11:40 UTC
I get following error to journalctl:

marras 16 22:19:09 linux-it72 kernel: thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-devel@lists.sourceforge
marras 16 22:19:09 linux-it72 kernel: thinkpad_acpi: radio switch found; radios are enabled
marras 16 22:19:09 linux-it72 kernel: thinkpad_acpi: This ThinkPad has standard ACPI backlight brightness control, supported by the AC
marras 16 22:19:09 linux-it72 kernel: thinkpad_acpi: Disabling thinkpad-acpi brightness events by default...

The internal laptop display brightness control works but not the external on docking.

It's fine as long as the backlight control actually works, please just ignore the message. The upstream has a patch to downgrade the printk level from error to info. I backported the patch now.

The external output has never brightness control, so it's no issue.
