Bugzilla – Bug 793370
Please disable festival support in kdeaccessibility3
Last modified: 2013-01-18 17:13:35 UTC
Festival is going to be dropped (unless someone steps up to maintain it), so please adapt kdeaccessibility3 accordingly.
Thanks for your report. I will look at whether festival can get a new maintainer among Education repository maintainers. Removal of Festival would be a huge loss because much of software (not only in the main repo) require it. We would have to build festival separately in Education and KDE3 repo then. This would drain the OBS build pover. I think this is not much hurry because festival currently does not experience build problems in Factory.

If you want to keep festival in Factory for now, just become the maintainer and check with Education repo maintainers afterwards. Otherwise, we'll just let it slip and it will be in 12.3 with no maintainer.
I submitted a request to change the maintainer for festival. Depending on the outcome of this request I will act further. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/144657

I disabled the festival and created submit request. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/148937
And found out the festival is now in kde:kde3, so closing this as fixed as it works on factory.
