I can add session features like 'standby' to the favorites but after reboot it disappears.
Maybe it's because it also disappears from the session menu entries (see attachment)? 'Standby' for instance is missing.

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200413

Qt Version: 5.14.1

OS Type: 64-bit

Memory: 15,5 GiB

Most likely a corrupt kactivitymanagerd database.
Try to delete ~/.local/share/kactivitymanagerd/ and it should work again.
Comment 2 Michael K 2020-04-18 15:49:50 UTC
Deleted the folder and rebooted. All favorites are gone but that session sub menu still lacking 'Standby' (like the screeshot shows).
Comment 3 Fabian Vogt 2020-04-28 13:19:12 UTC
It's possible that Plasma thinks those options are currently unavailable and hides them.

If you go to the log out screen (the dark blurry overlay), are the options missing there as well? If so, that can have various reasons.
Comment 4 Michael K 2020-04-30 16:32:13 UTC
The blurry overlay logout contains all options.
