Screen dump of the error

The Python module python2-h5py makes python crash when it is loaded. The error message indicates a version problem:
as indicated in the error message: the HDF5 header files used to compile this application do not match the version used by the HDF5 library to which this application is linked. Headers are 1.10.4, library is 1.10.5

A similar problem occurs with the python3-h5py module in python3

the error message is duplicated in the attached file
the version of Tumbleweed was up to date on 8-September-2019

Hopefully this is useful,

Jos Suijker

Reassign, the package is maintained in devel:languages:python:numeric (and currently fails to build in factory)
Comment 2 Dirk Mueller 2020-05-11 07:52:38 UTC
I've added a %requires_eq to ensure that the package gets rebuilt when the version of hdf5 is changed.
