Bugzilla – Bug 1149934
kernel-kvmsall becomes default kernel after installation
Last modified: 2022-07-28 12:29:28 UTC
I have recently experimenting with katacontainers as described here: https://www.suse.com/c/demystifying-containers-part-ii-container-runtimes/ The problem is that installed kernel-kvmsmall has been added to the grub boot menu and what it worse, it became **default**. Which made my system unable to boot as I have encrypted rootfs. Please change the default setup so kvmsmall won't got higher priority than other kernel flavors on a physical host (most likely default and vanilla). BTW: not sure if that belongs to bootloader, kernel or containers.
I think that this should be handled by GRUB when generating the menu. Michael, your view?
Confirming, the issue affected me too
Bulk-re-assigning to the new bootloader-maintainers@suse.de group.
