Description Bruce Anderson 2018-10-31 02:15:11 UTC
Updating to KDE/Plasma 5.14 caused the "Present Windows" desktop effect to stop working. I have this assigned to one of the corners in the "Screen Edges" tab of the System Settings and it has worked for years through many versions of KDE but now it does nothing.
Also under the "Desktop Effects" tab, if you try to run the demo for "Present Windows" it crashes the Settings app completely.

Caused because handling of OpenGLIsUnsafe must have changed. It was set to "true" and in the previous version and the 'Present Windows' effect worked just fine but updating to the new version caused the effect to no longer work. When this was changed to "false" it started working again.

Unfortunately there was no indication in the UI for assigning screen edge effects that this effect was not available when the flag was set to "true".
