Description Dominique Leuenberger 2018-10-30 08:10:17 UTC
Tumbleweed is being prepared for kernel 4.19, including linux-glibc-devel.

strace is one of the few packages failing to build in this setup

There is no need to rush this out. First get glibc ready.
Comment 3 Илья Индиго 2018-10-30 09:41:26 UTC
Judging by the fact that glibc was placed in the same group with python3 and openssl1_1 it will take at least a month, and the kernel is needed now.
Comment 4 Andreas Schwab 2018-10-30 09:46:40 UTC
glibc is needed since almost three months.

There is also no reason to NOT act on submissions you get in an attempt to 'promote' other stuff you're waiting for.

the fact that py3.7 and openssl are in the same staging as glibc is not 'an accident' - the goruping there is very consciously picked to get this beast moving AT ALL.
Comment 6 Andreas Schwab 2018-10-30 10:28:04 UTC
So let's get the important stuff out first.

well, then I'm looking forward to get your fixes there.. The salt team certainly is taking your help to get Python 3.7 (which needs tornado 5) ready.
Comment 8 Andreas Schwab 2018-10-30 11:12:34 UTC
This is a team effort, people need to get their act together.

If it were that easy :)

This is not constructive. Stop that.

Completely useless bug.
