Missing broadcom firmware BCM20702A1-0a5c-21e8.hcd for bluetooth adapter
Last modified: 2019-11-11 07:37:51 UTC
Here is the firmware https://plugable.com/2014/06/23/plugable-usb-bluetooth-adapter-solving-hfphsp-profile-issues-on-linux/
You have to rename it to CM20702A1-0a5c-21e8.hcd to not get the error:
“Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM20702A1-0a5c-21e8.hcd failed with error -2”:
So some adjustment needed in the bcm20702a1-firmware package?
Reassigned to Tomas.
Shouldn't the firmware auto install?

Yes, same issue on latest Tumbleweed as of current date.
Still having this issue, can someone set the priority higher?
Maybe someone will see it now.
Please don't touch the priority field; it's a field to be adjusted by either PM or developer, not by reporter.
I hacked the existing package to fetch this additional firmware.
Could you try the package in OBS home:tiwai:branches:hardware/bcm20702a1-firmware repo?
Once after confirming it's working, I'll submit it.
Seems to work fine.
This is an autogenerated message for OBS integration:
