dmesg

upon boot i realised that this firmware for a broadcom modem keeps on getting reloaded. would'nt it be an enhancement to load the firmware once before ipv4 and ipv6 has started.

i am currently using NetworkManager 1.10.4-1.1

i have enclosed dmesg.txt in this report

It doesn't look wrong, the driver likely gets re-initialized due to the runtime PM or such.

Do you see any other real problem regarding this?

i have only noticed this issue with NetworkManager/KNetworkManager. however, switching back to wicked, it only gets initialised once

I believe there is nothing to be fixed in the kernel. If anything, NM is broken.
