Bugzilla – Bug 1079718
bottom toolbar missing when I boot with external display
Last modified: 2018-02-12 15:37:03 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.140 Safari/537.36
I performed an in place upgrade from Opensuse 42.3 to Tumbleweed. When I boot my laptop with an external display connected, the bottom toolbar is missing.
If i switch between the laptop display and the external display (fn+f8 on my laptop), the toolbar comes back. If I boot with no external display connected, the toolbar is also there.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.connect external display
3.login to kde (plasma)
toolbar should be at bottom of screen.
I'm still having this problem. When an external display is connected I get a Plasma screen with no toolbar. To fix it I need to swap displays with the laptop hotkeys (Dell fn+f8) and plug/unplug the hdmi cord.
This is very frustrating. I did not have these issues with 42.3.
