Vim (Vi IMproved) is an almost compatible version of the UNIX editor
vi. Almost every possible command can be performed using only ASCII

new features have been added: multilevel undo, command line history,
file name completion, block operations, and editing of binary data.

Confirmed for Tumbleweed 20180110 on Raspberry Pi 2
Comment 3 Yifan Jiang 2018-01-24 06:59:41 UTC
It looks the newly added function is not included in the package:

The workaround:

1. mkdir /usr/share/vim/vim80/autoload/dist
2. pushd /usr/share/vim/vim80/autoload/dist
3. wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vim/vim/master/runtime/autoload/dist/ft.vim
Comment 4 Ismail Dönmez 2018-01-24 11:06:34 UTC
Installing vim-data will fix this problem.
