Description James Carter 2018-01-05 05:34:43 UTC
This is for Tumbleweed as of 2018-01-04 and
perl-Mcrypt- .

perl-Mcrypt requires perl(:MODULE_COMPAT_5.24.1) but Tumbleweed
has moved to perl-5.26.1. If I were to force installation of this
version of perl-Mcrypt, about 200 packages would have to be

However, devel:/languages:/perl has /perl-Mcrypt-
which requires perl(:MODULE_COMPAT_5.26.1). This version installs
with no drama and works fine in my application. May I suggest
promoting this version to be the official one for Tumbleweed?

I assign to product manager to take a look at this issue.

Hi Dominique, would you please take a look at this issue? The package perl-Mcrypt hasn't been updated for three years, I couldn't find a maintainer for this issue.

Can't say where perl-Mcrypt- is coming from, but Tumbleweed had o perl-Mcrypt since

When the package was removed from Tumbleweed.

Also, it's very surprising that you see this issue only now, since TW moved to perl 5.26 in October 2017
