I have flare and flare-game installed on two computers (one from the Tumbleweed repo, version 0.20-1.2, and one from the games repo, 0.20-4.16 and 0.20-6.4).

In both versions monsters get passive as soon as they are close to the player.  They don't attack, player takes no damage at all.  While you can play the game, it's not really a challenge that way... :o
It happens both in the alpha-demo and the emphyrean_campaign mods.

I cross-checked with the latest version from github, there the issue does not show up.  Monsters attack, and player loses health.

This is fixed in flare 1.0 release.
