Description Paul Heine 2017-12-09 09:35:56 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.89 Safari/537.36 OPR/49.0.2725.39
Build Identifier:

My original install was Leap 42.3. The printer (driver vers. 330) was working perfectly.

I did a direct upgrade to Tumbleweed. From then I have not been able to print successfully to the Canon printer.

I have installed/uninstalled via CUPS and also YAST Hardware Manager, without success.

Now I have re-installed Tumbleweed and the Canon irc1028 driver version 330 again hoping the problem would be solved, unfortunately still without success.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Canon UFR II driver vers 330 via Yast or CUPS.
2. Print test page.
3. Fails with various error reports, e.g. "Idle - "src = bidiCommon.c, line = 1195, err = 0¥nSyntax Warning: Unknown font type: '???'"
4. The error messages are not always the same.
Actual Results:
Fail

Expected Results:
Print test page signifying successful driver installation.

OS is Tumbleweed.
Desktop environment Gnome.
Theme is Gnome-OSX-II-2-6, shell is Gnome-OSX-Light-Shell.
Fault occurs in default Adwaita theme also.
