Description Dominique Leuenberger 2017-12-07 11:26:26 UTC
yast2-storage contains this snippet:

%package devel
Requires:       libstdc++-devel
Requires:       yast2-storage = %version
Requires:       libstorage-devel = %(echo `rpm -q --queryformat '%{VERSION}' libstorage-devel`)

There, %{VERSION} is potentially expanded by the rpmbuild process and given 'as plain text' to the rpm -q --qf call, which is not what you intended to do.

Up to now, this was not an issue, as RPM did not define %{VERISON} (only %{version} was defined) - but this is changing with RPM 4.14

Please escale that call accordinly, to read:

Requires:       libstorage-devel = %(echo `rpm -q --queryformat '%%{VERSION}' libstorage-devel`)

NOTE: This blocks adoption of RPM 4.14 in Tumbleweed
