Description Thomas Schäfer 2019-02-10 20:24:01 UTC
Since I changed from leap 15 to 15.1 alpha.

xfreerdp does not work as before.

I have to set xfreerdp +glyph-cache to get the connection.

described also here:

https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/5072

I would expect that it works without this option or the option is enabled per default.

In this case you should activate the Glyph Cache in the connections advanced settings. Currently this is the only possible solution.

See https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/1612

Does this solve your problem?

Starting the client with "+glyph-cache" helps. That was part of the report.
But if someone doesn't know that, he googles for a long time.

There's an same issue against SLE15 SP1 (bug 1125549) and the SUSE documentation team are going to put the work around into the SLE release notes.

However I'm not sure if and how the release notes changes will sync to Leap. Ludwig, may I have your insights please? Thanks!

No, someone needs to add such things on leap side too. So changing component.
